Knowing God: The Secret Behind the Prevailing Prayer

The confidence that God in all His transcending power, is our father and we are His children, is so strong and reassuring that we need NOW to go all out and spread out our needs on the altar of faithful prayer assured that He is for us in whatever situation we need His help.

God is the greatest! And little children would say: “He is a very big God.” Yes, He is, in all aspects. He is consummately mighty, and enormous in wisdom, far beyond human understanding.

Dear reader, this same God in all His vastness, craves our fellowship and wants to release to us everything He has promised us. I mean everything! My friend, may be you are, currently, having difficulties with the affairs of this life, such difficulties that might even cause you to doubt the very existence of God. Regardless of your bane or station, it is no secret that God loves you; again it is no secret that He does. But are we where we should be in life? Probably not! Are we still loved with so many delimiting and engulfing contradictions? YES!

THE PROBLEM – mine and yours – is that we do not know God. How can we confide in and talk with one whom we do not know? Parents advise their children against talking with strangers. Not knowing God is the big gulf, and until this is removed, we are bound to continue in penury in the face of huge wealth that is ours in God. He is saying to you and me: “I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.” John 10:14.

“I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” John 10:10. Can we have abundant life? Yes, we can. “According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue”. 2 Peter 1:3. Do you have “all things that pertain unto life?” I believe you do not. But the bible says, in knowing God, we can have all things. And “the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.” Daniel 11:32.

When you and I truly know God, we will be closer drawn to Him and will be able to talk to Him at anytime in prayer about anything. And “He will perfect all that concern you” and me. The confidence that God in all His transcending power, is our father and we are His children, is so strong and reassuring that we need NOW to go all out and spread out our needs on the altar of faithful prayer assured that He is for us in whatever situation we need His help.

God, “for whom all things are; in whom all things consist and depend; one who owns the world in all its fullness is our father, and He sincerely loves us . “If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?” Luke 11:11.

THE SOLUTION:
We must accept that we are sons and daughters of God. That is who He says we are. “How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!” 1 John 3:1.

Everything you and I will ever accomplish in this life, we will do so in Christ Jesus and because of Him. Thus, you must find what His word says about you and your situations. Having already asked and received His forgiveness for your sins – past, present and future, be assured you are covered with the righteousness of Jesus Christ for whose sake God will release your inheritance (blessings). TRUST WHAT GOD SAYS IN HIS WORD. TRUSTING HIM IS THE FIRST STEP, IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION TO KNOWING HIM, FAITHFULLY PRAYING AND GETTING BLESSED.

“For I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.
