Living above our daily hurdles - Part III

Posted on Tue, Nov 23, 2010

The secret to living gallantly above the inevitable hurdles of life is to allow God to take over our lives and to unreservedly lean on him

In concluding my three-part message series on “Living above our daily hurdles”, I invite you, dear reader, to earnestly lean on God in all episodes of your calamities.  No matter what hurdle we face, God is well able to deal with it. We must take him at his word and acknowledge his power in spite of our situations. We need to admit that God is what he says he is, and unhesitatingly look beyond our predicaments to behold his might at work for us.

He calls us the apple of his eyes. And that is what we are. We should acknowledge his love for us. In his might, he has broken all strongholds on our behalf. Obviously, there still are hurdles with which to contend. Yes, we fully understand that the hurdles are there and real. But simply, we must “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.Proverbs 3:5

In his power, he has brought all things under our feet, and in his holiness, it is impossible for him to lie. Thus, in God there is a guarantee that we can live “Above Our Daily Hurdles”. So each time doubts and fear assail, we should acknowledge the facts of his might and holiness. Again, we must cease from leaning on our “own understanding.” We can count on the invincibility of God as we travel the rocky road of life. With him as our guide, there is no need to fear.

Overall, the secret to living gallantly above the inevitable hurdles of life is to allow God to take over our lives and to unreservedly lean on him. He is our father. He will never fail us if we do our part; we must lean on him.  "If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you.John 15:7  May God richly bless you.
