Obedience at Any Cost?

If you reside in New York City, particularly, the Bronx, and you do not have a church home. I invite you to our Sunday service every week. We have a very special service tomorrow. By the grace of God, I will speak on “obedience at any cost”. I am giving you an extraordinary invitation to worship with us tomorrow.

Obedience is a sacrifice, and in God’s economy, obedience breeds blessing. In Hebrews chapter eleven, for instance, we read of instances and rewards of obedience. The obedience of the men and women named in this chapter was not without a cost to them. What is the cost of your obedience? In the instance of Jesus Christ, it cost Him His life, but happiness is the aftermath of it.  Judge it for yourself. Is there any single man in cosmic history that is ever so admired and gloriously exalted like Jesus Christ?  What has God asked you to do and you are still contemplating whether or not you should do it? There is a place in this life and ultimately in heaven for you, if with no second thought, you can obey the WORD of God, and obey at any cost.

Suggested readings:

1.. “Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; and being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him”. Hebrews 5: 8,9.

2. “By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after  receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went” Hebrews 11:8.

3. “By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.” Hebrew 11:7

4. “By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son, of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called:” Hebrew 11:17

“For I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.

Matthew 25: 35-36
